designed to provide a significant reduction of the expenses our customers incur that relate to software, servers and IT support

This development opens up access to this comprehensive world-class construction accounting application, JOBPOWER, for a number of industry businesses that can now benefit from its cost-cutting and streamlining capabilities, without requiring considerable in-house technical infrastructure to support it. In addition to JOBPOWER, the companion document management application DocumentVision, is also available as a “cloud” offering.
“This is a logical step for us in that it addresses many of the needs expressed by our customers,” said Rick DeLand, Vice President of Applied Computer Systems. “Cloud” computing is designed to provide a significant reduction of the expenses our customers incur that relate to software, servers and IT support. The savings will help our customer’s achieve a higher profitability,” added DeLand.
“In addition, our “cloud” solution ensures security at both the data and database levels and remains our highest priority,” stated DeLand. “Security has always been a concern and we have addressed this through co-location, multiple daily backups and security at the file level.”
“There is strong market interest in cloud services, including SaaS, due to an increasing demand for reducing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) for IT investment and systems across many markets,” stated Rick Cluthe, COO of iRent. “Applied Computer Systems recognized these considerable benefits and wanted to bring them to the construction industry,” commented Cluthe.
