Mark Chesnutt, Asleep at the Wheels’ Ray Benson, Gary Morris, and Foster & Lloyd, are just a few of the names autographed on three guitars to be auctioned on Saturday, October 1st during the Real Life Real Music 2nd Annual Festival at Bernhardt Winery in Plantersville, Texas. The guitars, containing signatures of CMA/Grammy winners like Bryan White, Deryl Dodd, Dean Dillon, and Lee Roy Parnell have been donated by festival organizers and Real Life Real Music to support the medical mission efforts of Sharing Sight, a 501c-3 non-profit organization based in Magnolia, Texas.
Real Life Real Music relocates from its regular home at Dosey Doe in The Woodlands, Texas for a full day of music at Bernhardt Winery with Warner/Chappell Recording Artist Sean McConnell, Grammy Winners Terri Hendrix & Lloyd Maines, Walt Wilkins and the Mystiqueros, BMI Million-Air Award Winner Shake Russell, Real Life Real Music Host Kyle Hutton, Kathryn Hallberg, The Hopeless Po'Mantics and more.
Real Life Real Music host and Magnolia resident Kyle Hutton has strong feelings about this years silent auction beneficiary and is optimistic that the guitars and other auction items will command sizeable donations for the organization. Sharing Sight is a “hands-on” effort for Real Life Real Music. Hutton, along with friend and Real Life supporter Dr. Travis Moffatt of Magnolia's Child and Family Eye Care made their first trip to Guatemala in 2009 to perform eye-exams and distribute donated glasses in remote rural areas. “We did over 200 eye exams in a couple of days.” said Hutton. “It is truly amazing to watch someone’s life change when they put on a pair of glasses for the first time.” Dr. Moffatt, who is currently organizing his next trip to Guatemala, will be joined by Hutton and other Real Life Real Music artists in future medical missions.
Throughout the day, festival attendees can sample Bernhardts’ award-winning wines, enjoy lunch and dinner on the grounds, and experience the music of Real Life Real Music Student Artists on the Songwriters Experience Stage in-between main stage acts. Corporate sponsors Dosey Doe, Rick Raanes of Keller Williams, Arriba Salsa, the Conroe Dental Health and Cosmetic Centre, and GiGi's Cupcakes of The Woodlands proudly join Real Life in the presentation of the event.
The gates at Bernhardt, just west of Montgomery off Hwy 105, open at noon. The Hopeless Po’ Mantics kick off the music at 12:30, followed by Kathryn Hallberg at 1:15, Shake Russell at 2:00, Terri Hendrix & Lloyd Maines at 3:15, Walt Wilkins & The Mystiqueros at 4:45, Kyle Hutton at 6:45, and Sean McConnell at 8:30.
