Additionally, Mitch serves as a valuable asset to growing Austin’s economy with his successful endeavors in the local investment and incubator arenas.

“I am very excited to become more involved with the SCIP organization. Market Awareness has done some amazing groundwork in Austin to spread the word on SCIP and Competitive Intelligence, and it fits perfectly with my work to grow Austin’s business community,” said Jacobson. As Co-Director for the ATI (Austin Technology Incubator) Clean Energy Incubator at the University of Texas at Austin, Mitch and his team focus on community engagement to put companies on the map, that helps creates jobs and build relationships with all the right industry players, national organizations and key influencers.

“Mitch is an excellent addition to Austin SCIP’s advisory board, where he will make an immediate impact on our local Competitive Intelligence presence and the value we can provide our members,” said Glen Brynteson, CEO of Market Awareness and Austin SCIP Chapter Chair. “CI is such an important component for both new and established businesses. We continue to actively expand the organizations reach to professionals from both private and public companies, as well as the academic community.”

“In honor of Mitch joining our steering committee, our upcoming October event will be held at the UT incubator facility. We will have a special presentation from Mitch, and hear from a company that his team helped launch in a very competitive industry. Then, as promised, we will move to asocial networking format to allow the local professionals to further get to know each other,” Crystal Pieschel, Austin SCIP Chapter Coordinator, stated.
