Boulder, with its strong spiritual community, had been lacking a center where personal growth workshops and events by the country’s best spiritual leaders could be held. Boulder residents interested in wellness could benefit from a center where they can be inspired by the ideas of top spiritual growth authors and speakers, both local and international. The Nalu Institute has been created to fulfill this need.

“I always admired places like the Omega Institute and the Kripalu Center. Boulder has strong Buddhist centers, but could use a place where we can gather to hear some of the best spiritual thinkers and leaders of our time in short-duration workshops that focus on mind, body and spirit. Many people are talking about the spiritual awakening occurring on the planet at this time and I thought I could use my organizational skills to bring the Boulder spiritual community together and make it a center for this renewal,” stated Ms. Bilbrey.

The name Nalu comes from the Hawaiian word that means wave and also to meditate. The organic nature of a wave and the essential tool of meditation serve as a great symbol for an institute dedicated to helping people find spiritual growth. Upcoming events include a six-week “Learn to Meditate” class and an “Introductory Seminar to Energy Healing.”
