GGO Clothing, makers of fine organic lifestyle and active apparel, is outfitting rising star Chris Browning.
Chris Browning is currently starring in this summer's blockbuster "Cowboys and Aliens" with Harrison Ford. Chris is known for leading roles in "3:10 to Yuma" and starring opposite Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman in the apocalyptic thriller "The Book of Eli".
Chris is excited to be one of GGO Clothing’s brand ambassadors for their men’s collection. It suits his easy lifestyle of comfort and refined style. He loves GGO's expert tailoring and green roots. "It's hard to believe these pieces are made from bamboo!" he exclaims.
GGO has merged ‘green’ with fashion and as Chris Browning has recognized, “usually being green means you have to give up something cool. This is not so at GGO.”
Most of GGO’s fabrics are made from organic bamboo. Organic bamboo fabrics are famous for their wonderful hand, moisture-wicking and antibacterial features, easy maintenance and lasting quality. Other wonderful fabrics GGO developed use recycled plastic bottles and organic and recycled cotton mixed with bamboo.
GGO’s styles are created by contemporary fine artist and designer Steve Sas Schwartz (http://www.sasart.com). Steve develops textiles that possess superior comfort, performance, and are as green as possible. The fabrics are milled from the yarn itself and the garments sewn right here in Los Angeles. This allows for each garment to be expertly tailored while helping to sustain our local communities. As Chris Browning states, "this stuff wears like it was made for me personally. I'm going to get all my friends wearing GGO.”
Browning states, “Schwartz gets it. He knows when less is more and when more is more. Who better to design the coolest clothes I own than an artist?”
Steve exhibits his paintings in fine art galleries and is widely collected. His contemporary interpretation of figures and the female form as well as his nod to Native American history and culture naturally translate into the apparel he creates.
Early on Steve's streetwear designs for the legendary East Village skateboard store Skate NYC attracted the interest of established designers, and he was asked to create design concepts and collaborations for Anna Sui, Kenneth Cole and Showroom 7, among others. Over the years, through these collaborations, Steve’s passion for tailored clothing and the alignment he found with his yoga-instructor wife, Vivica Schwartz, GGO Clothing evolved into a luxurious yet highly functional collection for both sexes.
