Continuing their commitment to deliver innovative solutions to pharmacy customers, Pharmitas, Inc. today announced an updated version of the Pharmitas portal.

"Expanding regulatory requirements and a focus on boosting profits has greatly increased the pressure on pharmacies. Responding quickly to these challenges often decides whether they represent an opportunity or a burden,” said Chris Pasrons, Chief Information Officer for Pharmitas. "Today’s release marks an important step in Pharmitas’ strategy to deliver solutions that increase pharmacy working capital, prescription sales, and customer satisfaction.”

Available immediately for both desktop and iPad browsers, the Pharmitas portal includes the following applications:

PharmiSage reduces a chain pharmacy’s dependence on traditional drug distribution by maximizing the use of existing inventory. With PharmiSage, stores that now are obliged to order from distributors will now have the option to “buy” from their own inventory through an internal marketplace for slow moving, short-dated and split-pack stock.

ChainMail offers a reliable and secure way for pharmacies to share information with their stores and employees without the expense, hassle and security risks associated with email systems in a healthcare environment. Whether it’s important drug recall information, policy updates or schedule changes, ChainMail ensures that all employees are working from the same source of information. Once a message is sent, ChainMail’s real-time dashboard provides continuously updated information on its status.

PharmiConnect enables pharmacies to participate in next generation of patient centric service delivery by connecting them with health care delivery platforms that compete for customer dollars based on patient accountability and quality of care.

ComplyScan automates the sale of products that contain Pseudoephedrine (PSE). ComplyScan includes a signature capture pad to electronically record the entire transaction, and ensure compliance with State, Federal, and Local regulations including the Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act (CMEA) and NPLEx. ComplyScan decreases the time to process a PSE transaction using a paper log from 4 minutes to less than a minute.
