A Portion of the Proceeds from UA Freedom Apparel to Be Donated to Veterans Through Signature Program Beginning on 9/11

Under Armour (NYSE:UA), the leading performance apparel and footwear brand, today announced that a portion of the proceeds of their UA Freedom apparel collection, which supports our nation's military and public safety heroes, will be donated to support the new Believe in Heroes™ campaign, recently launched by longtime partner Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), a non-profit organization that provides programs and services for injured service members and their families.

The Believe in Heroes campaign is a movement to put the “veteran back in Veteran’s Day” and honor and empower those who have served or are currently serving our country. Beginning on the tenth anniversary of September 11 and culminating on November 11, Veteran’s Day, Under Armour, WWP, and others will join together to share this important message, and to celebrate our nation’s heroes.

"The tenth anniversary of September 11 marks a pivotal time in our nation's history and raises awareness of the sacrifices made by our veterans," said Bryan Offutt, UA Director, Outdoor Marketing. "We are proud to continue our support of the Wounded Warrior Project and partner with them on the Believe in Heroes campaign to stress the importance of honoring our nation’s military."

A portion of the proceeds from Under Armour’s UA Freedom apparel collection will support WWP’s Believe in Heroes campaign. The collection consists of WWP/UA-branded graphic T’s, polos, sweatshirts, and more. The collection will be available online at http://www.ua.com and at select retailers such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Academy, and Bass Pro Shops.

In addition, consumers can also gift a Wounded Warrior Project UA Backpack to injured heroes. Each backpack contains WWP-embellished Under Armour product worth more than $300 and will be presented to an injured service member. To learn more about how you can join the Believe in Heroes effort by purchasing UA Freedom apparel or a backpack, visit http://www.ua.com/freedom or http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

“Under Armour has been a fervent supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and now our Believe in Heroes program,” said Steve Nardizzi, executive director, Wounded Warrior Project. “The donations and awareness raised by Under Armour will support wounded warriors and their families throughout their recovery process and their transition back to everyday life.”

Also part of the Believe in Heroes campaign, Under Armour will unveil specially designed football uniforms for the University of South Carolina, Texas Tech University, and University of South Florida at the end of September. Each team will be outfitted head-to-toe during designated NCAA games taking place on October 1, November 12, and November 19, respectively. The custom jerseys will be auctioned-off on each of the school’s websites with all proceeds benefiting the Believe in Heroes campaign. Specially designed fan gear for each school will also be available at http://www.ua.com and at campus bookstores.
