Chicago dealership (Grossinger City Autoplex) participates in national campaign (in association with Toyota Motor Corporation) in order to provide transportation for a deserving local charity (Chicago Children's Advocacy Center). This particular dealership is well versed in community charities- as they participate in many throughout the year. Below are the details of this current community effort.

It all starts with a ride.

Grossinger City Autoplex announced that, in association with Toyota Motor Corporation, they will be presenting the Children’s Advocacy Center (CCAC) a brand new Sienna Mobility Auto with Access Seat on Tuesday, September 13th, at 4pm.

The gift is the result of the “100 Cars for Good” campaign. The campaign was created for non-profit organizations all throughout the Unites States in need of transportation. The contest took place this past May 2011 through August 2011 for 100 days. A car was given away to one lucky non-profit organization each day based on votes by the general public. CCAC was awarded the brand new Toyota Sienna as the 78th recipient of the contest.

Their submission was an informative and heartfelt message with children holding up signs reading “I need a ride so I can put the pieces back together” and “give us a ride of hope.” Grossinger will be a direct part of that healing process. Factual statistics were also provided based on forensic interviews, medical exams and research, solidifying their need, citing that “over 80% of our clients require transportation. Drivers provide safe, comfortable rides to interview, therapy, and medical appointments and are trained to respond to crisis situations.” Gary Grossinger, owner of Grossinger City Autoplex, stated that “this was a very deserving organization, and we are proud to be able to help.”

The CCAC serves 2,500 children each year (one of the largest client populations in the country) who are suspected victims of sexual abuse. The CCAC coordinates the investigative activities of its partners (Chicago Police Department, Illinois Department of Children & Family Services, Cook County State's Attorney's Office, Cook County Health & Hospitals System), conducts developmentally appropriate forensic interviews, and provides families with social and mental health services designed to minimize further trauma and provide them what they need to begin the healing process and participate in the justice system.

Grossinger City Autoplex is a family owned and operated company selling Cadillac, Toyota, Scion, and Chevy. It is the largest new car facility in the Midwest, featuring over 700 vehicles inside in their LEED Certified 400,000 sq. ft. indoor facility. This is one of many community-based philanthropies of which the Grossinger family participates in annually.
