Keasbey, NJ (PRWEB) September 09, 2011
WHAT: ShopRite announced today that it will be conducting Cholesterol Education Events at select locations throughout the month of September to highlight National Cholesterol Education Month. Free to the public, each four-hour event will offer cholesterol screenings and cholesterol education materials, as well as smart cholesterol-friendly cooking tips and product samplings.
This Cholesterol Education series is part of ShopRite’s extensive Health and Wellness programs, which include programs such as in-store retail dietitians at select store locations. ShopRite’s in-store retail dietitians work with customers to help them shop smarter, make nourishing choices and learn to cook meals that will help them stay healthy, maintain their weight or manage health issues. These services are available to all customers free of charge.
September was designated National Cholesterol Education Month by the National Institutes of Health (http://www.nih.gov) to raise awareness of the risks of high cholesterol and heart disease.
