HPMI Saves 226 Lives Over Labor Day Weekend

Medical cannabis collective holds much needed blood drive for Bay Area residents.

On Labor Day weekend collective members and the public turned out for HPMI’s first and San Jose’s first cannabis collective blood drive. With 114 people who signed up to donate, collectively HPMI’s drive will save 226 lives. Every person who donates a pint of blood saves three lives.

“This was history making,” said Van Hovey, founder of HPMI (Holistic Pain Management Institute). “Our staff worked very hard to make this event happen.”

As the holiday season approaches HPMI plans to hold another drive.
