Waltham, MA (PRWEB) September 11, 2011
OpenClinica, the world’s most popular open source clinical trial software for web-based electronic data capture (EDC) and clinical data management (CDM), is sponsoring this year’s Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM) Annual Conference in Baltimore from September 11-14, 2011. As part of this sponsorship, the company will be exhibiting its latest clinical trial software while raising funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“The Society for Clinical Data Management Annual Conference is an important opportunity for us to communicate directly with many end-users of the OpenClinica software,” said Ben Baumann, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development for OpenClinica, LLC. “SCDM has a growing membership base that represents 40 countries and OpenClinica’s own growing global community is well represented within this group.”
OpenClinica experts will be available for discussion and to provide demonstrations of the newly released OpenClinica v3.1 which, according to Baumann, has already been downloaded several thousand times since its recent launch in June. “3.1 has been received with great enthusiasm and we are excited to review it in detail with SCDM attendees.”
In addition the company announced it will make a charitable contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital on behalf of people who visit the OpenClinica booth at the event.
“St. Jude is a well known research hospital and an important leader in clinical research in the fight against childhood cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. They make a great fit for our charitable efforts,” said Baumann.
