“On the heels of a successful inaugural campaign, the AGM will allow our league and the member clubs to continue to build Rugby League in America,” said USARL Chairman Peter Illfield. “Much of the groundwork for the next year and beyond will be set at the AGM,” Illfield said, emphasizing the USARL’s commitment to forming strong strategic alliances, domestic and international, in order to further a robust player exchange, player, coach and referee education, business and marketing partnerships and youth development programs.
Providence, Rhode Island, was this year’s chosen location for several reasons. Not only have the local Rhode Island Rebellion done a great job in laying strong roots in its inaugural season, the Rebellion and the USARL want to take this chance to publicize the RI Rebellion / Providence Youth After-School Touch Rugby Program kicking off this October.
