Founder and CEO Ian Sephton (Former Marine Sergeant), along with partners Jeff Shields and Ian Evenstar have launched Bootstrap50 (B50) a military inspired lifestyle brand. They are committed to raising funds that support all Veterans, with an emphasis on newly separated Veterans who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their pledge is to donate 50% of all net proceeds through the partnership with Veteran charities already doing great work.
“After 11+ years of conflict in the Middle East our men and women of the armed forces are returning to a poor economy and job market. They are suffering from the mental and physical tolls of an extended armed conflict and the Government cannot meet the needs of these patriots. Our model is simple. 50% of all net proceeds (profits) will be donated to a blend of veteran charities selected by our board of advisors. These charities include The Fisher House, Semper Fi Fund, US Vets, and the USO,” said Ian Sephton Founder/CEO
The B50 line will launch with 16 military inspired knits, sweatshirts, bags, and hats. Future brand extensions will be launched in early 2012. The brand is looking for retail channel partners to partner with and help grow the brand, which celebrates the rich heritage of the US military, and the people who have served. With the motto “Their Sacrifice Our Commitment” Bootstrap 50 hopes to expand into major retailers as well as distributing direct through http://www.bootstrap50.com.
