For people who worry about privacy on the web, Glocu is here to help. With the new location-based social service, friends can share updates, look for new things to do, or new places to go.

Glocu is a location-based social network that lets users connect with close friends-and the rest of the world. Share moments with friends and family, keep up with what they’re doing, tap into the local buzz, or discover new places to explore. Glocu offers all that in one place.

Glocu facilitates sharing through two distinct flows:

Glocu knows privacy, and knows that privacy is important when it comes to everyday life. Through the private flow, Glocu lets users share those moments with close friends and family (up to 60 people max). With Glocu, users can feel comfortable sharing freely and frequently with the people they care most about, and the people they communicate with most.

Through the public flow, users can also discover new things to do, cool places to visit, and fun events to attend, all with one tap. Glocu helps people unlock the local pearls and explore their locale in profound ways by getting to know what makes other people excited, or share their take.

The augmented experience is accessed through three filters: time, location and popularity. With these filters, users are aware of current events, the location of nearby activities and the things that the nearby users love most.

The interface is easy, intuitive and fun, so download the app and give it a go. This is Glocu's first step after the public beta with many exciting things to come. Download the app at the Apple Store, or find more information at http://glocu.com/.
