Hartford Business Journal and the Public Relations Society of America Connecticut Valley Chapter (PRSA-CVC) are pleased to announce their Social Media Summit will take place on October 14, 2011 from 7:30am to 12:00pm at the Farmington Marriott.

The Hartford Business Journal and PRSA-CVC Social Media Summit will kick-off with a keynote address by Amanda Nelson, Community Manager, Radian6. Nelson will focus on defining social media communities and share tips and techniques for building, measuring and maintaining them.

The intensive half-day summit will also feature twelve breakout sessions geared towards business owners and executives, in-house marketers, sales professionals and agency professionals. Sessions will be offered at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels and focus on how attendees can use social media to attract and engage quality customers through the latest techniques and proven business-building tactics. Among the featured breakout session topics, are: online brand building, customer engagement, social media platform management and measurement.

As part of the summit, PRSA-CVC will host a track dedicated to PR/Marketing/Advertising agency professionals.
