Fairfax, VA (PRWEB) September 14, 2011
The American Association of Healthcare Administration Management has announced that National Patient Account Management Day will be observed on October 18.
Now in its 22nd year, National Patient Account Management Day was established on October 18, 1989 by a proclamation from the U.S. Congress when AAHAM (then AGPAM) sought to officially recognize people involved in healthcare administration management throughout the country.
National Patient Account Management Day will be part of a week long celebration, October 17-23, by hospitals, physician offices and others involved with patient account management to recognize and honor the individuals engaged in healthcare administrative management. It is a time where managers recognize their staffs and the public may become aware of the profession.
This year’s theme is “The Feeling of Pride” which addresses recognition of the exemplary work that is conducted by healthcare administrative management teams in hospitals, physician practices and healthcare related industries. Through the AAHAM online store, AAHAM sells a wide array of products to commemorate this special week.
“It is a special week to bring attention to the dedicated individuals engaged in healthcare services industry,” said Sharon Galler, executive director of AAHAM. “This is a time where enhancing guest relations, increasing hospital and office morale and improving communications is so vital to the industry.”
