WPBT2 announced the release of its new Kidvision VPK app. The new app allows iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users to access the online tools available for teachers and parents to develop and enhance the skills of 4 year olds throughout Florida in an effort to meet the pre-kindergarten learning standards.
The Kidvision VPK app includes virtual field trips taking pre-K children to different places within the community, teaching the children the standards needed in a fun and lively way. Each theme based learning unit specifically identifies, explains and teaches Florida’s Pre-Kindergarten Learning Standards through hands-on lesson plans. The app also includes an assessment with each field trip that kids will enjoy playing.
“This app makes it fun and exciting for kids to learn the education standards necessary for kindergarten. We hope it gives them the skills they need for success in school. The app also allows parents to take charge of their child’s education. We think it’s a wonderful learning tool,” said Jack Kelly, vice president of production at WPBT2.
The app is free and available for download through the iTunes App Store: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/kidvisionvpk/id450229487?mt=8.
