Vidtel's any-to-any video conferencing

For about the same price as the maintenance costs on multi-party video conferencing infrastructure alone, Vidtel has developed an affordable hosted video conferencing service targeted to the SME market.

Vidtel, the innovative cloud-based video conferencing service provider and RealLinx, a national provider of managed broadband, voice and internet security for the small-medium enterprise market, announced their distribution agreement today to market Vidtel's hosted MeetMe Video Conferencing Service for multi-party conferencing to RealLinx national customer base of hosted voice business customers and service providers.

With the growing demand for video conferencing, many small-to-medium-sized enterprises seek an enterprise-grade solution that is both easy to implement and cost-effective. For about the same price as the maintenance costs on multi-party video conferencing infrastructure alone, Vidtel has developed an affordable hosted video conferencing service targeted to the SME market.

When participants simply dial into the service, as they would a standard audio conferencing bridge, high-quality video is seamlessly incorporated. Vidtel’s service is an any-to-any solution, whereby a wide range of devices can connect in the Vidtel virtual meeting room, from enterprise-grade video conferencing equipment (e.g., Cisco/Tandberg, Polycom, LifeSize, Sony) to consumer-grade technologies (Skype and GoogleTalk).

“The Vidtel hosted service is an excellent complement to our hosted solutions for the small-medium enterprise market. To date, the SME market has been underserved by video conferencing solutions targeted to their needs so we look forward to filling that void with this solution, ” said Gabriel Diaz, President of RealLinx. “With this outsourced solution, barriers to SMBs fall away, as they have no need to acquire expensive infrastructure for enterprise-grade multi-party video conferencing with third-parties.”

“RealLinx has a long track record of success delivering affordable managed broadband, voice, security and hosting solutions to SME customers and is poised to take significant advantage of this market opportunity,” said Scott Wharton, CEO of Vidtel.

The Vidtel MeetMe Video Conferencing service will be commercially available in Q4 2011 through RealLinx service providers or directly from RealLinx.
