Cutie is definitely the most magical and unique looking dog who is always ready, willing and able to move mountains in order to make a difference. He is also giving a voice to animals who are just as impacted by senseless violence, said Parish.

Four-legged celeb and fundraiser extraordinaire Cutie The Lion Dog, who is best known for his uncanny resemblance to a lion, was named as the official goodwill ambassador for Operation Healing for the World & Giving with the Stars. It’s a global awareness and fundraising campaign to advance the cause of nonviolence in all forms including animal welfare.
The furry partner is the perfect match for the global awareness and fundraising campaign not only because of his star power but also because “he embodies what the essence of the campaign is all about – inspiring positive change, preservation of the environment, making a difference, healing, unity, and nonviolence in all forms,” said Geela Parish, a long time peace and animal activist who launched the campaign in a collaborative effort with Women’s Radio where she serves as an Editor Contributor http://www.womensradio.com/users/Geela-Parish/16/articles.html?p=1 and the support of community and spiritual leaders.
“Cutie is definitely the most magical and unique looking dog who is always ready, willing and able to move mountains in order to make a difference. He is also giving a voice to animals who are just as impacted by senseless violence, and this is why Cutie makes such an effective agent of change, “said Parish of her four-legged partner. Cutie’s proved that point when he helped to make a recent two-day animal rescue fundraising event a huge success. All the proceeds were donated to the Animal Control Shelter in Agoura Hills, California for which Cutie’s contribution was quickly acknowledged with a big thank-you letter from the staff led by Sgt. Childs.
Senseless violence in all forms is a serious societal issue, which not only impacts humans, but also the environment and animals in particular. “Our future is linked to the future of all animals, therefore it’s in everyone’s best interest to advance the cause of nonviolence and peace including preservation of the environment,“ Parish noted.
It was the extraordinary reaction of people including celebrities and professional photographers to Cutie’s striking resemblance to a lion that made his guardian/”mom” Geela Parish discover that Cutie was no ordinary dog and that his star power could be used as a force for good on a larger scale.
“I also believe that no one can communicate an urgently needed message more effectively than animals and music,” said Geela who is an award-winning singer/songwriter/activist, a bestselling author and founder of One Spirit, One World, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, dedicated to advancing the cause of nonviolence and peace. Cutie and Geela hope to inspire more support for the global fundraising campaign to advance the cause of nonviolence and animal welfare through the inspirational YouTube video and charity CD “For the Love of God” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3jIRrnlZNY), which illustrates her deep love and concern for animals. The inspirational song, which was written and recorded by Geela Parish, has also been recorded by other top recording artists such as Patti La Belle.
Cutie, The Lion Dog encourages everyone to get involved and support the cause by purchasing the song digitally through online retailers such as iTunes, CDbaby.com and Amazon.com. Proceeds from the sale of the song as recorded by Geela Parish will benefit organizations that support peace, victims of wars and animal welfare.
Inspired by the successful outcome of the recent fundraising event, Cutie is looking forward to taking his mission to the next level. Plans include producing an inspiring YouTube video of Cutie in action, 60 second Public Service Announcements campaign, a national media campaign, and new fundraisers to enhance Cutie’s efforts to increase awareness and funding to continue his work to support two worthwhile causes simultaneously. Cutie, The Lion Dog invites more sponsors and volunteers to come on board to make a difference in a win-win spirit.
The growing success of Cutie, The Lion Dog has proven that dogs can be more than just man’s best friends. With their transformative power they can become a force for good and effective agents of change. Now this is something definitely worth sniffing about.
