Lauren Engineers & Constructors (Lauren) recently hosted a Golf Scramble to raise funds for the Texas Wildfire Relief Fund. The event was a great success and brought in more than $1,360 for the charity.

The 2nd Annual Lauren Safety Golf Scramble took place at Diamondback Golf Club on September 10 and included 8 teams, each consisting of 4 golfers. Participants were treated to some favorable weather and a meal catered by Lauren’s Director of Procurement, Bill Ford. The winning team included four employees from Lauren’s manufacturing office on South 18th: Todd Puckett, Mike Puckett, Dave Weatherly and Stan Adams. The lead team was awarded a $400 cash prize.

This is the second year that Lauren has hosted the Golf Scramble with proceeds going to a local charity. “This is a small way that we can give back to the community, while building teamwork with our employees,” said Todd Meek, Lauren’s Safety Director. “The event is a win-win for everyone, and we look forward to continuing the tradition for many years to come.”
