Chicago real estate company @properties and its @properties Friends and Neighbors Community Fund (FNCF) held their second annual “Chicago Revealed” fundraising event last month to raise money for two local non-profit organizations: Deborah’s Place and Barrel of Monkeys.

The event was held at the historic Saddle & Cycle Club on the city’s North Side. This year’s theme was “A Taste and History of Chicago Breweries & Distilleries.” More than 250 guests enjoyed a private tasting of beers and spirits, as well as silent and live auctions, and live music by Maggie Speaks, presenting Spoken Four. Guaranteed Rate, The Hechtman Group and Burke Warren MacKay and Serritella, P.C., headlined more than 30 sponsors.

@properties co-founders Michael Golden and Thaddeus Wong established the @properties Friends and Neighbors Community Fund, a 501(c)3, to manage the Chicago real estate firm’s extensive philanthropic activities. The co-chairs for this year’s Chicago Revealed event were @properties agents Jennifer Johnson and Gwen Farinella. The @properties Friends & Neighbors executive committee is headed by @properties agents Kevin Van Eck and Ann Caron.

“The philanthropy of our agents, our staff, our business associates and our friends is incredible. Their generosity will be directly felt by the women, children and families supported by Deborah’s Place and Barrel of Monkeys,” said Thaddeus Wong, co-founder of @properties.

This year, FNCF has raised more than $110,000 through two events: Chicago Revealed and the Blarney Ball St. Patrick’s Day Party. Its next event, a volunteer day at Deborah’s Place, will take place on October 13.
