The era was ruled by industrial giants like Carnegie, Gould, Morgan and Rockefeller as railroads connecting New York to California revolutionize transportation. Against this backdrop, a German immigrant miner with success in silver and gold mining decides to leave his comfortable home to start a mammoth copper mine, riding on the tide of the metal’s expected popularity in electrification. A surprising personal discovery jumpstarts his need for a change.
