Designers and brands are having a positive impact in our industry by choosing an Eco-Conscious approach to their business
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 14, 2011
Lingerie News site, The Lingerie Journal recently added an Eco-Conscious category to its website's features, news and trends categories to help readers navigate this important and growing category.
"Designers and brands are having a positive impact in our industry by choosing an Eco-Conscious approach to their business," said Luis Paredes, publisher of the Lingerie Journal. "And we want to showcase that news."
The new category reflects a growing movement towards eco-conscious and eco-friendly stances and best practices that a variety of lingerie companies like Clare Bare Lingerie and Eucalan Lingerie Wash are adopting noted Paredes.
"In the coming weeks we'll add more stories in our news, trends and features section highlighting Eco-Conscious companies - including lingerie retailers," he said.
Among the most eco-conscious (and passionate) retailers Paredes said he's met is Christine Barksdale, owner of the boutique Sustainable Passion in Ithaca, New York who works hard at finding and showcasing eco-friendly brands.
Additionally, Paredes noted that anytime an Eco-Conscious brand is mentioned on the publication's twitter account @lingeriejournal, reporters will use the hash tag #ecolingerie on updates so readers can follow the growing conversation and reporting.
The Lingerie Journal is the leading US-based online trade publication for the lingerie industry. Paredes encourages lingerie companies to list themselves on the Lingerie Journal's upcoming wholesale lingerie directory that debuts October 15, 2011. "It's free to register and you'll be part of a directory and website actively searched by wholesale buyers," he added.
