Blue Ridge Mazda, a Lee's Summit Mazda dealer, would like to share that Dutch navigation-equipment maker, TomTom, said on Tuesday it has made deals with Mazda Motor Corporation, as well as Fiat. The agreement was reached over at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but the financial specifics are not fully known at this point.
TomTom, an Amsterdam-based company, generates half of its overall revenue from personal navigation systems. With demand for GPS’ and handheld electronics on the downswing, landing a deal with a car manufacturer is huge.
In two different released statements Tuesday, TomTom stated that they will provide the Mazda3 and Mazda CX-5 with a in-dash navigation system. Ironically enough this feature is already utilized as an option in Europe, for the Mazda5 minivan.
Blue Ridge Mazda has two locations in Raytown and Lee's Summit. The used car store is in Raytown, Missouri and the new car location is in Lees Summit, Missouri and has a whole fleet of Mazda cars in Lee's Summit.
