Affordable Motors of Brookly-one of the leading car dealerships in Brooklyn, New York would like to announce that Nissan Motor Co. CEO Carlos Ghosn confirmed at the Frankfurt Motor Show that Infiniti will soon begin building a small car using engines and platforms made famous by Mercedes-Benz. This announcement clears up over a year-and-a-half of speculation over this. Infiniti is set to drop the small car in 2014, and will use a variety of engines designed and produced by Mercedes-Benz. This vehicle also is special in the fact that it will be the first Infiniti vehicle to be manufactured outside of Japan due to high manufacturing costs in Japan.

The inspiration behind the compact car will be Infiniti’s Etherea concept car, which made its debut earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show. It is believed that this model will feature a selection of both gasoline and diesel engines, which will be from Mercedes-Benz, including Mercedes’ 1.8-liter engine, which is direct-injection and creates 202 horsepower. Talk about power from a small source!

Infiniti expects big things out of their new compact car, especially in Europe where they estimate that this new model will make-up about 40 percent of Infiniti’s European sales. Although this may seem like a conflict of interest since Mercedes-Benz has a line or two feature small premium cars, they have been quoted as saying there are “extremely limited cross consideration” between both Infiniti and Mercedes-Benz.

Affordable Motors of Brooklyn sells repairable vehicles that are useful to people who would like an affordable vehicle. Parts are also available in Brooklyn at Affordable Motors.
