Email-based Remote Approval sand BMC Remedy Integration Will Be Demonstrated at TechEd 2011

iWave Software, a leading independent provider of Process Automation and Cloud Management software, today provided a first look at Transport Manager 7.2 at the 2011 SAP TechEd Conference. The upcoming release of the SAP Change Management and Transport Automation product links SAP Change Management with ITIL-based Service Management to help customers reduce the cost of change and consolidate change documentation required to meet regulatory and IT auditing requirements. The company also announced the release will support remote email-based approvals of transports, eliminating the need for business approvers to access SAP.

“Linking the Service Desk initiated Request for Change (RFC) and SAP is essential for automating processes around transport approval and movement, “ said Ron Smith, vice president of sales and marketing at iWave Software. “This release eliminates the need of business approvers to log into SAP, thus reducing the time and cost of change while still ensuring adherence to IT and regulatory mandated polices.”

Transport Manager provides customer a comprehensive change management and transport automation for SAP. It allows organizations to manage multiple landscapes and parallel development environments from any focal point while ensuring separation of duties. Installed in days – not months or years – it offers an immediate answer to implementing an enforceable, unified and compliant change management process across SAP landscapes and the underlying IT infrastructure.

The 7.2 release supports out-of-the-box service desk integration BMC Remedy and iWave’s Sharepoint-based Service Desk products. Subsequent releases will extend the functionality to other leading 3rd party service desks. Remote approvals are performed through standard email and are not tied or require modification to email client or server applications.

Transport Manager 7.2 will be generally available in the fourth quarter of 2011 through iWave Software and its global network of resellers and service partners. Pricing is based upon SAP landscapes and environment.
