Children who have special needs often have to put up with the trouble of being “different” from others and it can be just as challenging for their loved ones who see them struggle through everyday life. In the new book Growing UP... With Jack, young author Drew Beasley shares a profound glimpse into what it is like to have a sibling like Jack who has a disability.
The story is told by Jack’s nine-year-old brother. He narrates some of the experiences he had while growing up with Jack. Despite the author’s young age, he exudes wisdom and a grateful heart. The pages are not only beautifully illustrated but also emanate the author’s unconditional love for his brother. Children and adults alike will find gems of wisdom glimmering in between the heartfelt storytelling and the vibrant pictures of this book.
The author’s heartwarming and honest storytelling style makes Growing UP... With Jack a truly insightful and unforgettable experience for readers of all ages.
