Atollvic Shipyard, the superyacht and refit specialist based in the estuary of Vigo, North West of Spain, will be exhibiting at the forthcoming Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) 2011, taking place between 15th and 17th November at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Every year Atollvic finds METS to be a fantastic showcase for our services and the best place for us to network with industry professionals and to meet potential and existing clients.

Exhibiting on stand 10.715 within the trade only Superyacht Pavilion (SYP) hall 10, Atollvic will demonstrate its super yacht credentials, highlight its extensive yard facilities – which are due to soon be extended to accommodate yachts up to 70 metres in length – as well as showcase recently completed superyacht refit projects.

Atollvic Shipyard was founded in 2006 and is an expert in the construction and refit of custom sail and motor megayachts in steel or aluminium. A division of Grupo Vicalsa, one of Europe’s leading marine, aviation and military engineering organisations, Atollvic works in conjunction with other companies within the Group to offer clients the technical and logistic support needed to successfully design and build the most complex custom yachts.

Diego Gomez, Commercial and Marketing Director for Atollvic Shipyard, will be present at METS to meet with show attendees. He said: “Every year Atollvic finds METS to be a fantastic showcase for our services and the best place for us to network with industry professionals and to meet potential and existing clients. We highly value the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to the superyacht industry and are looking forward to the show, which will be the third time that we will exhibit at METS.”

Atollvic will exhibit at METS alongside two other Spanish companies, VICUSdt and AISTER. VICUSdt is a technological, dynamic and innovating company, committed to research and technological development in the shipping and energy sectors. AISTER is a market leading company in national and international craft projects of steel, aluminium or polyethylene industrial and marine insulations.

Both companies are also based in Vigo, the yachting hub of northern Spain. Vigo is also widely considered to be a convenient location for superyachts based in the Mediterranean since yachts requiring warranty work and refit can avoid lengthy trips to the Channel or Baltic ports.

METS is the world’s largest trade exhibition of equipment, materials and systems for the international marine leisure industry organised by Amsterdam RAI in association with the International Council of Marine Industry Association (ICOMIA).
