Dr. Harold Kerzner remarks, "One of the greatest benefits of this new Project Management MBA Program is that the coursework teaches students the mistakes of others and speeds up their learning curve."
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 15, 2011
International Institute for Learning, Inc. (IIL) is pleased to announce its partnership with HSM Educação Brazil, an exciting new executive education and training company based out of the bustling industrial and business capital of Brazil, São Paulo. Dr. Harold Kerzner, the world’s leading project management expert and Senior Executive Director at IIL, is working with HSM Educação to develop the content for the company's MBA Program in Project Management.
The program will be unique in its approach to learning, interweaving state-of-the-art technology with a blend of traditional classroom and on-demand training. The project management curriculum will make innovative use of video-based learning to enhance the in-person classroom experience. All students in the program will receive their choice of an iPad or tablet PC, and will actively use those devices both in and out of the classroom.
E. LaVerne Johnson, President and CEO of IIL, says of this venture, "There is great synergy in this partnership. Both IIL and HSM are well-known global brands, and both companies have a strong local presence in Brazil: IIL Brazil and HSM Educação. We are very excited about the MBA Program in Project Management. It is designed to engage participants at a brand new level, and the learning will be easy to understand and assimilate." In addition to the MBA Program, IIL Brazil will work closely with HSM Educação to offer PMP® Exam preparation and cutting-edge training in all of our business practice areas, including project management, Lean Six Sigma, Business Analysis and ITIL®."
The launch of this MBA Program bodes well for the future of project management. Dr. Harold Kerzner remarks, "When I was young and first learning project management, there were no MBA programs or degree programs anywhere in world. I learned from my own mistakes rather than mistakes of others." He continues, "One of the greatest benefits of this new program is that the coursework teaches students the mistakes of others and speeds up their learning curve. IIL is proud to partner with HSM Educação in creating this type of material to prepare the next generation of project managers."
In addition to the MBA Program in Project Management, HSM Educação Brasil will launch six Executive Development Programs (Post-MBA) that center around global experts in a variety of fields: Philip Kotler (Marketing), John Davis (Family Business), Dave Ulrich (Leadership), Vijay Govindarajan (Innovation), William Ury (Negotiation), and Jeffrey Pfeffer (HR).
