RCN, Boston cable, Internet and phone company, is excited to announce their participation in the 12th Annual Watertown Faire on the Square on September 24, 2011. This fun event will provide families and friends a way to celebrate the rich diversity of Watertown, MA and its residents. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn what neighbors and local businesses are doing to make our community great.

RCN will be one of the exhibitors at the Faire on the Square. As a leading Boston Internet provider, they look for opportunities to support and celebrate the community and spread the word about their money saving, quality products and services. High Speed Internet in Boston is often anything but “high speed”, unless it’s from RCN. They also take pride in their Boston cable TV service and invite attendees to drop by their event table for more information on a variety of packages and bundles.

There will be events taking place in four adjoining locations: Saltonstall Park, behind the Boys & Girls Club, in and around Town Hall (including the ball field), and behind the library (especially in the parking lot). Faire goers may arrive anytime between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM to enjoy the festivities. Advanced registration and tickets are not required. Please note that dogs are not permitted at the Faire, per the Watertown Animal Control Ordinance (2005-18 Section 4). Only service dogs are allowed in town-maintained parks. Also, parking is limited and everyone is encouraged to walk or ride bikes if possible.

Not only will RCN have an informational exhibit, they will also be raffling off some wonderful items. Their staff is looking forward to sharing more about all of their services and especially why RCN is the one to choose when looking for a cable provider in the Boston area. Upon arrival at Faire on the Square, children and adults will find a variety of free activities and Children’s rides. Activities include Silly Willy the Clown and Fonzi the Clown, rides such as Tubs of Fun, Trackless Train, Pirate Ship and a Ferris Wheel. There will be pony rides, Chaos Obstacle course, Moon Walk Fun House and a Gyro Orbitron. Musical entertainment includes performances by The Ron Poster Trio featuring Alex MacDougall on vocals, The Perfect Crime Band, The Beloved Few, Phunk Phenomenon and Chad LaMarsh. Faire-goers can enjoy performances by Nicole’s School of Dance and the Susan Wright School of Dance as well as craft sales and food. The Coordinating Committee of Faire on the Square aims to give town residents and visitors a true “taste of Watertown”. There will be an array of ethnic and national foods from around the world provided by some of Watertown’s finest eateries. There is also an Apple Pie contest and interested participants should deliver their pie to Town Hall by 10:00 AM on Faire Day to enter.
