As the average age of agricultural professionals climbs and the number of new entrants into the agricultural workforce lags, the industry has been left with fewer middle managers having the ability and experience to lead their organizations to greater growth. Next Generation Ag Leadership Forum was developed with this in mind. Managers will be prepared to assume roles of increasing responsibility and authority through experiential learning and practical advice/mentoring from proven industry leaders who are no longer in operating roles. Next Generation Ag Leadership Forum will be held at Soy & Grain Trade Summit on October 31, 2011 in St. Louis, MO.
“Our goal is to provide a program for high potentials who normally might not have the opportunity to network with industry leaders across the supply chain," stated Greg Mellinger, CEO of HighQuest Partners and Program Co-chair. “But more importantly, participants will receive individualized mentoring on their most important challenges and share career development practices across the industry.”
“Most leadership programs currently available are academic in nature,” Randy Linville, Program Co-Chair and former CEO of The Scoular Company comments. “This program is different because it’s where practice meets theory. Coaches will offer advice based on real experiences.”
