Gaylord Hotels joins the fight against breast cancer this October, partnering with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (NBCF) during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As the featured charity of the Gaylord Hotels Rooms for Good program, NBCF will receive 10 percent of proceeds raised through a special package rate available at all four Gaylord resorts.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation is committed to spreading knowledge and fostering hope in the fight against breast cancer. The organization works to fund free mammograms for women who could otherwise not afford them and supports research programs in leading facilities across the country. Its mission is to save lives through early detection and to provide mammograms for those in need. This includes increasing awareness through education, providing diagnostic breast care services for those in need, and providing nurturing support services.
“We are honored to join the ranks of supporters of the National Breast Cancer Foundation during this very important month,” said Amy Atkinson, vice president of marketing and public relations, Gaylord Hotels. “At Gaylord Hotels we put an emphasis on family, and we are grateful for the opportunity to support our mothers, daughters, aunts, grandmothers and other family members that have been affected by breast cancer through our Rooms for Good alignment with the National Breast Cancer Foundation.”
The Rooms for Good package rate starts at $179* per couple/per night, based on availability. It includes one night’s accommodations at one of Gaylord Hotels’ four resorts, located in some of America’s most popular destinations, including the Washington, D.C. metro area, just outside of Orlando, Fla., in Kissimmee, in the heart of America’s Country Music Capital, Nashville, Tenn., and in the Dallas/Ft. Worth-area, in the Lone Star State.
“Gaylord Hotels’ Rooms for Good package gives their guests an excellent opportunity to join the fight against breast cancer,” says NBCF Founder & CEO, Janelle Hail. “Their commitment to communities and generosity through the Rooms for Good promotion will help NBCF save lives and provide early detection services and education to women across the country.”
Rooms for Good is a co-operative marketing and fundraising program that features a different charity each month. In addition to raising money for non-profit organizations, Gaylord Hotels raises awareness of the cause through its advertising, public relations and social media platforms.
