Filemobile, Inc. (, one of North America’s leading developers of interactive online software, is proud to announce a new agreement to provide gamification services for CBC’s innovative Sports Day in Canada website and its “Game On” App.

Sports Day in Canada, airing Saturday, Sept. 17 at Noon ET on CBC Television, celebrates the importance of sports in Canadian culture from grassroots to high-performance levels. Sports Day is a celebration of sport, a tribute to those making a difference, and a shout-out to anyone who plays a game for the sheer joy of it.

Sports Day’s Media Factory-powered website ( allows people from across the country to celebrate their favourite sporting activities—or even create fun, new events—then share them with friends via videos uploaded from their mobile device (with the help of the Sports Day mobile app) or home computers. The goal is to encourage others to participate, all of whom can comment and upload their own photos and videos.

As part of the new gamification element to the website, visitors will be awarded badges for commenting or uploading their own videos. A Sports Day Leaderboard will track the most active Canadians, and a “Game On Dream Team” of prize winners will be named on-air during the telecast. Viewers can then compete with friends, family or other gamers to earn the most recognition.
