Over 25 years of ensuring patients get the right care at the right time.

Donald Harrop, MD, is retiring after founding and serving as the President of the Keystone Peer Review Organization, Inc. (KePRO) for over a quarter of a century. KePRO is a national quality improvement and care management company that improves health care outcomes while reducing costs.

Since KePRO opened its doors in July 1985, Dr. Harrop has made it his mission to ensure that people got the care they needed. “People need to get the right care all the time,” said Dr. Harrop. “KePRO helps ensure this happens and that the care meets quality standards. We have taken this principle and expanded our business from one federal contract to a national company serving both public program and commercial health care markets.”

KePRO Chief Executive Officer, Joseph A. Dougher, credits Dr. Harrop’s vision and leadership for the company’s success. “KePRO owes its financial strength and position in the market place to Dr. Harrop’s vision and dogged determination,” said Mr. Dougher. “Dr. Harrop has been a wonderful mentor for me and has instilled in all employees that integrity and caring about people are what has made KePRO successful. We will all miss his wisdom and guidance.”

Dr. Harrop will retire to his beach retreat and concentrate on a multitude of other interests and hobbies.

Even though Dr. Harrop has already been offered three other jobs, he has decided to focus on his stamp and sports card collections, working more with the historical society and library in his community, and devoting more time to his wife, Joan.
