The Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer are teaming up with Dr. A. John Vartanian in the October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, an event created by Safe Passage.
Safe Passage, a non-profit organization focused on saving the lives of women and their children by breaking the vicious cycle of domestic violence will be honoring Dr. Vartanian, a nationally recognized facial plastic surgeon, for his important work toward victims of domestic violence.
Dr. Vartanian will be honored at the October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month event on October 5, 2011 at Café Santorini, located at 64 West Union Street, Pasadena, CA 91105.
In regards to sponsoring the event, Donald Schweitzer said, “We are proud of our partnership with Safe Passage, who we have supported for a number of years. Our law firm is committed to protecting victims of domestic violence and putting their lives back on track. Even though there has been a great deal of work done to eradicate domestic violence in California during the past 25 years, it is painfully obvious to us that there are still a significant number of people who suffer at the hands of people they live with.”
Dr. Vartanian lectures nationally and publishes in scientific literature on various aspects of facial plastic surgery. He teaches physicians-in-training at both UCLA and USC medical centers. His extensive training background is a byproduct of twelve continuous years of medical training after college. He is one of a select group of surgeons to have completed the prestigious facial plastic surgery fellowship program. Prior to his fellowship, Dr. Vartanian completed his residency training in head and neck surgery, and internship in general surgery, both at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center.
