I hope MyFear
Zapper™ can help other kids like it helped me. It feels very free to be able to face your fears and deal with them, instead of continuing to be afraid.

Andrea Brady, President of Empowering Innovations™ LLC, feels this is a breakthrough for addressing childhood fear: “Helping a child work through a fear can be extremely frustrating,” she says. “Fears can disrupt normal social and home activities, including playtime, meals, even sleep. It can affect the entire family.”
While through the years parents have used books, night lights, stuffed animals, and more to help their children, most times these products do not work. “These approaches are passive, so while they may comfort the child in the short-term, they do not address the underlying issues,” Brady claims.
MyFear Zapper™, however, empowers children to “understand their brain is stronger than the fear.” This is done through a game approach which is appropriate for children as young as three. Brady explains that “the current website incorporates fun characters and games, taking the child through a process that builds self-confidence and allows him to see he CAN be the ‘Boss’ of his fear.”
Brady’s nine-year-old daughter, Natalie, invented MyFear Zapper™ when she became frustrated dealing with fears. “I didn’t like that feeling,” Natalie says, “so I took some visualizing techniques my parents and I would use and created a ‘game’ with them.” Natalie is now 14 and is excited to see her brainchild coming to life: “I just hope MyFear Zapper™ can help other kids like it helped me. It feels very free to be able to face your fears and deal with them, instead of continuing to be afraid.”
Empowering Innovations™ LLC plans to expand the MyFear Zapper program for children up to age 12 over the next 1-2 years. “New games and graphics more appropriate for tweens will be added to make the program appealing for these older children,” Brady says.
MyFear Zapper™ is available for a monthly subscription at myfearzapper.com.
