"Being named to the Inc. 500 list last year was a huge achievement, but to follow that up with a repeat appearance on the list this year is definitely something to celebrate, especially in this sluggish economy."

Inc. magazine has ranked Monster Scooter Parts no. 1,179 on its fifth annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. Monster Scooter Parts also received the distinction of being ranked no. 47 in the retail industry with three-year sales growth of 252%.

This marks the second consecutive year that Monster Scooter Parts has been recognized as an Inc. 500|5000 company. In 2010, Monster Scooter Parts ranked no. 190 on the Inc. 500 and no. 9 in the retail industry.

“We’re thrilled to be included in the Inc. 500|5000 list for the second year in a row. Being named to the Inc. 500 list last year was a huge achievement, but to follow that up with a repeat appearance on the list this year is definitely something to celebrate, especially in this sluggish economy,” says co-founder of Monster Scooter Parts, Kevin Alvey.

The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Monster Scooter Parts joins Spirit Airlines, Vizio and Dunkin Donuts among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list.

In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.

"Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500|5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward,” says Inc. magazine Editor Jane Berentson. “Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is.”
