Growth in Oil and Gas Sector lead to Meeting on Business Incentives in Delaware

Governor Jack Markell & Michael Linett

Governor Markell and his team were very interested in the international aspects of our independent NetApp service and support, and ... our SimplStor line to help our customers reduce their Storage infrastructure costs.

Delaware Governor Jack Markell and two of his Economic Advisors, Tom Cook and Pat Carter, toured Zerowait’s headquarters on Wednesday and met with the Zerowait team to discuss business incentives in Delaware. Mike Linett, President of Zerowait said, “It was an honor to have Governor Markell tour our facility, and I appreciate the opportunity to discuss with him and his team our needs as we continue to grow our business. Governor Markell and his team were very interested in the international aspects of our independent NetApp service and support, and the development of our SimplStor line to help our customers reduce their Storage infrastructure costs. Our success with our SimplStor product line, especially in the Oil and Gas Sector, requires we expand both our manufacturing and engineering capabilities, and anything the state can do to make it easier to improve our facilities and hire qualified people really helps.”

Rob Robinson, Vice President - Sales added, “The growth of the US natural gas market, combined with ongoing demand in the petroleum sector, has created enormous demand for low cost archive storage of seismic and well data. Our SimplStor disk archive line is finding strong acceptance as budgets get tightened, and we want to make sure we are ahead of the curve in our ability to deliver and support this product. We have to balance our desire to grow with the uncertainty of the current economy, and government policies influence every decision. From Infrastructure to Zoning and Taxes, we were able to discuss with the Governor and his team our concerns and the help we were looking for.”
