Non-profit foundations, grant, and scholarship providers are currently operating in an extremely challenging environment. Due to the economic downturn, available resources have dwindled, while community needs have significantly increased. Organizations are looking for opportunities to do more with less and must streamline their processes in order to increase efficiency; most organizations have not automated their management systems and their existing manual processes are labor intensive, inefficient, and expensive.
CommunityForce.com has taken up the challenge to create a technology solution that will increase the efficiency, and enable the effectiveness of the organization’s staff in this critical area of grants, scholarship, membership, and events management.
“We didn’t make up our reputation, we earned it, said Khaja Syed, CEO and President of CommunityForce.com.
“We’re told that it’s our ability to listen to our customers and their stakeholders, discover critical needs, and help them by creating a creative solution that builds technology addressing business processes, and systems, in a holistic approach.
“Always for non-profits, but especially in this economy, technology must provide a return on investment and it must be user-centric, scalable, and most of all. It must meet our customer’s specific needs,” said Syed.
CommunityForce adopted the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation’s Scholar Snapp™ Standards™ (fka Scholarship Data Standard). These standards provided CommunityForce with an XML schema for database design for the design in the new technology for their on their grant and scholarship management system. The system is an end-to-end online product that manages the entire grant making process from the grant and scholarship seekers to the grant and scholarship providers. It is the first full-featured, fully automated grant and scholarship management product to come to market.
Collaborators on the research, design and development of the software included process improvement/re-engineering specialists with Andersen Consulting (Accenture), finance, scholarship and grants professionals, local and national scholarship coordinators at various foundations, and universities and associations.
CommunityForce.com will present the new cloud-based grants management system at the 2011 Council on Foundations Conference in San Francisco, September 19 – 21 at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis. For more information on the conference visit: http://www.cof.org.
