Orlando, FL (PRWEB) September 19, 2011
Studio K, (http://www.studiokorlando.com), an entertainment studio featuring the largest offering of dance and dance fitness classes for adults in Central Florida, a team of leading photographers, and a national public relations agency, and the BASE Camp American Childhood Cancer Organization partnered together to produce a Flash Mob Event to celebrate Childhood Cancer Awareness Month this September.
The event occurred spontaneously in front of the Amway Center in downtown Orlando prior to the “So You Think You Can Dance?” national tour, which welcomed more than 6,500 people. The participants danced to the song, “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” by Wham! and performed in front of the crowd led by Studio K Instructor and NAO Dance Collective Founder and Artistic Director (http://www.naodance.com), Linda Eve Elchak. Music was provided by Co-Owner and DJ Matt Rothlein of the PRO Event DJ corporation.
“We are so proud and excited to work with the BASE Camp Organization on this event,” said Owner and CEO of Studio K, Kristin Weissman. “Having our members and the public join together in this event to bring such special awareness for the children and families they serve, while doing the first ever Flash Mob event in front of the Amway Center before a show as big as ‘So You Think You Can Dance,’ we could not be more honored to show our support for such a powerful cause.”
“Working with Studio K, choreographer Linda Eve Elchak, and Pro Event DJ has been a tremendous experience,” said Rachel Perez, Public Education Director for BASE Camp. “Their instant commitment to this event while bringing the highest level of quality to the performance and dedication to our mission overall, has just been exceptional. We could not recommend them more strongly, and on behalf of all of the families we represent, we are thankful to the Central Florida community for continually embracing our organization.”
