Margaret Iuculano, Founder and current CEO of Angels for Foster Kids, Inc. filed paperwork in July, 2011 with the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections to represent Hillsborough County residents on the County Commission for District six.
Iuculano, previously Chief Executive Officer of a Tampa area Software Technology Consulting & Training Company, pledges to make her focus job creation and economic development. Margaret will utilize her over twenty years of work experience in the for profit and non-profit business sectors to create a friendlier business environment that she believes will help lure new companies to the area.
"If honored to serve the hard-working taxpayers of Hillsborough County, job creation will be my top priority,” Margaret emphasized. “I have an economic development plan for actively courting businesses that will help create jobs right here. Passive efforts that employ a wait and see mentality simply won’t cut it! We need action, and we need it now.” The campaign also announced it will hold a series of Small Business Summits with local industry experts and area businesses in need of technical and organizational support.
Margaret’s recent work in the community as a child advocate has solidified her belief that strong families are directly related to strong businesses and a healthy economy. She went on to reiterate, “Many families in our community are suffering from job loss and cannot find work. We must find ways to get people back to work. Failure isn’t an option. We need leaders who are singularly focused on turning things around economically.”
Margaret has been a frequent guest on television and radio programs creating awareness about the tough issues facing foster children in our community. Margaret has also dedicated a significant amount of her spare to serving as a Guardian Ad Litem. She spends countless hours helping shepherd these vulnerable children through our court system.
