Lake Forest, IL (PRWEB) September 20, 2011
Scribe Healthcare Technologies, Inc. (http://www.scribe.com), announced the launch of its “Next Generation” mobile dictation app, Scribe Mobile. Scribe Mobile is available for use on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices. In the past year hundreds of physicians have downloaded the app and enjoyed the flexibility offered.
According to John Weiss, Vice President of Scribe, “Feedback has been positive. Our customers love the ability to combine a phone and dictation device in one unit. Upload voice files by 3G or Wi-Fi delivers reduced cycle time. The cost is also well received but our customers have been quick with new feature and functionality requests. In particular the ability to dictate files offline and upload in batch was important. Another critical feature included the ability to upload while using Scribe Mobile to dictate. These and other features that further streamline the app have been added to ensure a better user experience.”
Scribe Mobile offers dictators the ability to:
- Dictate in any location with or without connectivity
- Transfer voice files via 3G or WIFI in batch
- View physician’s schedule
- Specify file priority
- Select template / report type
- Track dictations
Scribe Mobile is easy to use. Simply open the app, select the patient and dictate. Rewind, playback, fast-forward, and insert additional dictation are included. Files can be transferred immediately without tethering the device or queue them for transfer later. After transfer Scribe Mobile provides a unique dictation id for tracking. Voice files are stored on the device for one week by default.
Scribe Mobile can be downloaded for free on iTunes and requires the user to have a Scribe account.
