The deal with DICOM means that we now have a sales partner with a market-leading position in EMEA.
Rotkreuz, Switzerland (PRWEB) September 19, 2011
DICOM International, the leading value added distributor of hardware and software solutions for document capture in EMEA, announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with US-based KnowledgeLake Inc. As part of the agreement, more than 3,000 DICOM sales partners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa will receive access to the multi-award winning KnowledgeLake document capture and imaging solutions for Microsoft SharePoint environments, which are already in use today by more than 2 million licensed users in 35 countries.
KnowledgeLake, a three time “Microsoft Partner of the Year” winner, offers an extensive portfolio of fully integrated Microsoft SharePoint capture and imaging products as well as industry-specific solutions enabling companies of all sizes to fully exploit the efficiency and cost-benefit advantages of SharePoint-based Enterprise Content Management platforms. KnowledgeLake products are easy to implement and administrate, and, by integrating their products into the Microsoft infrastructure that already exists in most companies, help provide a particularly affordable solution for managing documents and optimising document-based business processes.
For DICOM, signing the distribution deal with KnowledgeLake is a strategically significant step towards the continued expansion of its product and solution portfolio. The independence and breakaway achieved by DICOM this past June from Kofax (with which DICOM still maintains close business relations as the main sales partner for Kofax Express und VirtualReScan) opened the door to additional document capture solution providers. This in turn opens up highly interesting new business fields and sales opportunities for DICOM’s sales partners, which will continue to drive the strong growth currently underway in this segment.
Joachim Froning, CEO and co-owner of DICOM, explains the significance of the partnership agreement with KnowledgeLake by commenting, “We are very pleased indeed to expand our product range with the solutions from KnowledgeLake in the Microsoft SharePoint-based document management sector, which has enjoyed a continuing boom for years in the US market and which is becoming ever more important also in EMEA. This move brings enormous business potential for system integrators in the DMS environment as well as for classic Microsoft partners who are just getting started. DICOM will be there to provide them with every conceivable manner of support in taking advantage of this potential.”
Ron Cameron, President of KnowledgeLake, adds, “The deal with DICOM means that we now have a sales partner with a market-leading position in EMEA. They provide unique full coverage and access for us to the growth markets in the region through their network of qualified system integrators and resellers as well as their staff of highly qualified document capture specialists. DICOM provides us with the opportunity to serve the rapidly increasing needs for optimising document-based workflows and business processes by adding capture and imaging. We’re very much looking forward to working together and to the joint successes we will achieve with the combination of our outstanding technology and DICOM’s expertise and market penetration.”
KnowledgeLake develops document imaging related products and solutions for SharePoint. KnowledgeLake extends the ECM capabilities of SharePoint, enabling businesses to reduce mailing costs, streamline operations, and achieve regulatory compliance using familiar Microsoft products that most businesses already own and use.
