“I found this program to be a great teaching tool with multiple benefits for my students,” said Michelle Lewis, teacher. “I will definitely have my new class participate in the current Fall competition.”
Samsung Techwin America’s Electronic Imaging Division (http://www.samsungpresenterusa.com), a leader in document camera technology, today announced its Fall SUPERHERO Competition – where the student who wins gets $500 and their class receives a SAMCAM 860 document camera. “This competition was great,” said Ms. Lewis, whose students participated in the spring competition. “Students refined their research skills, while going beyond simply compiling facts, and they learned how to present the information in a way that was sensitive to an audience.” Visit http://www.samsungk-12.com for more information and to post your entry in the current competition.
Any student in grades K-12 who attends school in a United States or Federal Territory is eligible to enter a digital video of 1-3 minutes in length. Students are to portray a historical character and will be judged on presentation performance, character and content accuracy, and content quality. Fall competition entries are due November 30, 2011. One student winner will be selected and will receive $500. In addition, a SAMCAM 860 document camera will be given to their class. Students just need to go to http://www.samsungk-12.com to enter.
