New York, NY (PRWEB) September 19, 2011
mark, the beauty and fashion boutique brand, and ElleandBlair.com announce the partnership of Elle and Blair Fowler, YouTube beauty and style gurus and the brand to launch the “Miss Glambitious 2011” contest. The contest is a social media-driven video contest for user-generated content. Videos will highlight Miss Glambitious themes, including personal empowerment, beauty tutorials and business flair.
A special “Meet mark” branded tab will be featured on http://www.ElleandBlair.com. Each week a new video will be posted on the tab with a call to action for participants to create and post their own videos. Entry videos will be judged on creativity, relevance to topic and most heavily on personality and charisma. Centered on messages from the inspiring Fowlers, the contest will reward participants who are the most glamorous, ambitious and aligned with featuring quality products geared towards young adults. Weekly winners will be selected as semi-finalists to receive prizes including $100 mark shopping experiences, Skype chats with Elle and Blair, and entry for the grand prize of $2000. The contest winners will be announced November 11.

About Elle and Blair
Elle and Blair Fowler are two sisters who love makeup, fashion, music and style. Over two years ago, they decided to share their learnings and experiences with other like-minded girls, so they posted a few makeup tutorials on YouTube. What started as a few videos has now become an international sensation. They’re now the center of a vibrant social media community focused on beauty and fashion, and their fan base is now comprised of millions of young women (and men) all over the world. A single tweet from the Fowlers can sell out of a product, and a mention in their videos can lead to so many page views that websites have been known to crash. As Elle and Blair grew in popularity, they have extended their influence to the greater online world, establishing the eponymous website ElleandBlair.com. Elle Fowler can be found at http://youtube.com/user/AllThatGlitters21. Blair Fowler can be found at http://youtube.com/user/juicystar07.
The contest is powered by EQAL, the Effie Award winning media company that builds influencer networks around celebrities and brands. Their celebrity and brand networks include the official websites and social media accounts including Tori Spelling Lauren Conrad, Randy Jackson, Nick Cannon, Ty Pennington and the brand partnership with Philadelphia Cream Cheese (RealWomenofPhiladelphia.com) that recently won a Gold Effie Award. Their brand partnerships also include the WalkWithWalgreens campaign which brought together “The Biggest Loser’s” Alison Sweeney with Walgreens for a program that generated more than 3 billion steps logged on the website within more than 200,000 walks. EQAL’s celebrity networks generate close to 200 million impressions per month and reach 15 million people. The company’s “hub and spoke” strategy focuses on building an integrated media property by increasing social media numbers, driving traffic and engagement to the celebrity’s official website, and providing new revenue opportunities. EQAL was founded by Miles Beckett and Greg Goodfried, creators of the online sensations lonelygirl15, KateModern (with Bebo) and Harpers Globe (with CBS television). The two are widely credited as being the first to create quality serial programming for the internet, for integrating products into online programming and for originating the first “online to on-air” programming with a network television show. The company continues to evolve at the rapid speed of the medium as it combines quality content, celebrity influencers and technology.
