Bruce Bierwirth, EVP of Sales for American Reading Company, announced today that Dr. Rosemary Johnson has been named Account Manager for the state of Tennessee. In this position, Dr. Johnson will work to expand the company’s nationally recognized award-winning programs to school districts across the state. Today, more than a million students in 2,100 schools across 420 districts in 41 states participate in the company’s programs. The newly adopted Common Core State Standards serve as the structural model for all American Reading Company instructional resources and professional development solutions, which include ACTION 100 and 100 BOOK CHALLENGE.
Dr. Johnson has worked in the field of education in Tennessee for more than 18 years, beginning her career as a special education teacher for Maury County Schools. Most recently she served as the Tennessee Account Executive for Scholastic Education. She also worked in K-12 educational sales for Sundance/Newbridge Publishing and Howard Computers.

Dr. Johnson was born in Columbia, Tennessee. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Middle Tennessee State University, her Master of Education in Special Education K-12 from Middle Tennessee State University, and her Doctorate of Education in Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State University.
