Bluegreen employees from its corporate headquarters raised $792 bowling for local charity Junior Achievement of South Florida

Bluegreen Corporation (NYSE: BXG), a leading provider of Colorful Places to Live and Play, today announced that employees from its corporate headquarters raised $792 bowling for Junior Achievement. The Pep Rally at the Alley Bowl-A-Thon took place inside Strikes @ Boca in Boca Raton, Florida on Friday, August 26, 2011.    

“Bluegreen is proud to support Junior Achievement through cash contributions and sponsorship of local events such as Pep Rally at the Alley,” said Susan Saturday, Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. “Teams from Bluegreen’s Creative Marketing Department (Timeshare Turkeys) and Club Services/Product Development (Toxic Venom) raised money for this worthy cause then hit the lanes for a little friendly competition.”

Earlier this year Bluegreen also had the pleasure of taking part in Junior Achievement’s BizTown, where fifth grade students had an opportunity to run businesses, “earn” a paycheck, go “shopping” and “purchase” fictitious items like Bluegreen vacations.

Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization that brings the real world to students through hands-on entrepreneurial education delivered by trained professionals and volunteers.
