I am still a teenager inside," says McCready, "and really do identify with with girls, especially if they are going through bullying, or just trying to be themselves in a society that almost demands conformity, especially at a young age.

Founder of Air Feather Extensions, the only cruelty free, no-kill feather extension on the market today will be making a personal appearance at the Girls World Expo in Carlsbad California on September 24th.
McCready will be there with her team, and have her Fairie Feathers, new Synthetic Feathers and many more amazing "hair treats" for all.

The Air Feathers "Feather Bar" will be relocating for the day to the Sheraton Carlsbad, much to the delight of the Girls World Expo!
The "Feather Bar," usually only found in McCready's shop in downtown Escondido, will bring it's eco-chic and cruelty free items to the event.

Feathers and extensions will be available for a special "don't blow your allowance" price, and several lucky girls will be picked to have a demo done on them using some of the latest products. The most cutting edge trends in hair and accessories are carried at McCready's shop, Air Feathers Boutique, and her eco-chic/fundraising slant is not lost on teens.

"Many of the girls that come into our shop," says Mandy Florez, Art Director, "are vegetarian, vegan, earth safe and very aware of things like fundraising and volunteering."

"I am still a teenager inside," says McCready, "and really do identify with with girls, especially if they are going through bullying, or just trying to be themselves in a society that almost demands conformity, especially at a young age."

McCready and her team, including Florez, are planning some special surprises that will be revealed during the fashion show.

Seminars on Body Image, Bullying, Self-Esteem and Relationships along with a fashion show that sends "real" models down the runway are some of the reasons McCready agreed to join in.

"I wish I had something like this when I was younger," says McCready. "And I'm so impressed that there are topics being addressed such as relationship violence, body image, and even having a small carbon footprint."

The expo events were created to provide a place where girls are able to celebrate who they are and become informed about topics important to them in a safe and fun environment. Girls World Expo expos are a great place for girls to connect with their peers in their community, attend hot-topic sessions, shop in a marketplace, be part of an art show, find the perfect college, and so much more.
