Consultant Services Group are pleased to announce that Consultant Cleaners, the cleaning division of the company have won their thirteenth consecutive RoSPA Gold for their continuous commitment to health and safety in the industry.

The prestigious accolade demonstrates the recognition by The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents of the company’s health and safety success, and their commitment to raising health and safety standards. The highly respected awards programme has been running since 1956 and it’s an accolade sought after by many companies.

Sally Gorman, a Health and Safety Officer, has led the drive for industry recognised health and safety standards at the commercial cleaning company for over twenty years.
She has created comprehensive induction training for all 1900 staff members and introduced support from a team of supervisors, area managers and operations managers.Ongoing training has also been made available with frequent toolbox talks and a staff newsletter which ensures all staff are kept informed of any updates or developments.

Risk Assessments have been made a standard procedure for any new client with any potential hazards identified; and measures put in place to review and assess. Aware that accidents often occur when working at height, all staff have been encouraged not to take their feet off the ground, with specialist tasks such as cleaning at height and deep cleaning undertaken by carefully vetted sub-contractors.
Any accidents that do take place are recorded, with monthly statistics produced and trends identified, with action plans put in place to improve upon.

Health workshops have also been held in partnership with Kirklees Council to help promote better health and well being amongst staff.

The commitment CSG have shown to health and safety with their staff demonstrates just why the contract cleaning division has become recognised year after year. As Sally says of the award “I think it shows that we demonstrate as a company that we care about our staff and their welfare, and that we are committed to raising standards within the cleaning industry”

With a RoSPA President’s Award under their belt and a recent finalist for the Golden Service Award, known as the Oscars of the cleaning industry, CSG can only go from strength to strength and build upon their already impressive reputation within the industry.
