“Our breath-taking and profitable growth in this very trying economic time is attributable to investment in good honest people and focusing on what we do best, innovation”, said Jason Berry, Build Group’s Chief Financial Officer.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 22, 2011
Build Group, Inc. today announced that the company is included in the Inc. 500 ranking of the nation’s fastest growing private companies. The annual list, deemed by the magazine “America’s Hottest Entrepreneurial Superstars” provides a comprehensive overall ranking of privately held companies in the US and a separate ranking for each company by industry category. This is the first time the four-year old general contractor has made the prestigious list.
With an impressive 3-year growth rate of 2,104.4%, Build Group placed 131st on the overall list. They are the only Northern California general contractor that made the Inc. 500 and are ranked 4th fastest growing company within the construction industry. With revenues of $100 million projected for 2011, Build Group attributes its rapid growth to focusing on client retention, implementing innovative financial strategies and aggressively pursuing new markets, such as solar energy.
“We started our business during such a difficult economic time. Being chosen for this honor means a great deal to our team.” said Ross Edwards, Build Group CEO. “It validates that we are on the right path as a company.”
Edwards and his partner, Eric Horn, founded the Build Group of Companies in 2007. Long-time colleagues, the two had worked together for over 20 years in key executive positions for one of largest construction companies on the West Coast. Both are structural steel and concrete experts responsible for building some of the most prominent and challenging high-rise buildings in the Region. Notable Build Group projects currently under construction include: Base building renovations at Westfield’s Metreon in San Francisco, a new parking garage for Pacific Union on Sutter St. in San Francisco, Grace Fellowship Church in San Francisco, a mixed use development at 240 Third St. in Los Altos and a new Tory Burch store in Westfield’s San Francisco Centre in San Francisco.
Build Group’s efforts in the solar market have paid off exponentially. The company designs and installs solar support structures across the country and has 30 MW built, in design or under construction across the Nation with clients such as the Veterans Affairs Hospitals with REC Solar, the U.S. Marine Corp Naval Facilities Command at Camp Lejeune with RQ/Berg and at school districts throughout California with Solar City. They also recently launched an innovative product called Solumbria (http://www.solumbria.com), which is the first adaptable, upgradeable solar array for parking structures available in today’s marketplace.
“Our breath-taking and profitable growth in this very trying economic time is attributable to investment in good honest people and focusing on what we do best, innovation”, said Jason Berry, Build Group’s Chief Financial Officer, “We will continue to innovate within our core markets and capture market share in a controlled scalable fashion.”
